Getting back on their feet: rehabilitation of trafficked victims

Shouted at, beaten, scalded by hot water, locked in and a final escape from an abusive employer that landed her in hospital with broken limbs. This is the true story of Maya, a trafficked victim.

For the past 2 years, she has been living in the care of HOME. Her experience of being trafficked remains painful to tell. There were tears in her eyes when she was interviewed yesterday. She is taking time to recover but the process will not be an easy one.

As a Singapore community, what can we provide for victims of trafficking like Maya to help them rehabilitate? Pl take the poll below and share this post with your friends.#stoptraffickingsg
